Charleston Wedding Photographers: Patrick Hall bio picture

Welcome to the pH Factor~!

Thanks for visiting!

Patrick Hall was born in Charleston, SC and has lived in Alaska, Alabama, and Tennessee.  After graduating from college in 2004, Patrick traveled throughout the southeast before calling Charleston home in 2006.

During the first 2 years in Charleston, Patrick spent most of his time learning how to craft interesting photos with both wedding professionals and lifestyle photographers.  It was during this time the idea to share his newly learned talents with young couples became Patrick's primary goal.

Today Patrick works full time as a commercial wedding photographer in Charleston, SC and enjoys shooting extreme sports, fashion, and commercial images during any freetime he may have left :)

Traveling Notice

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a great new years and are looking forward to 2010 as much as I am. It is hardly even past the first week in January and I’m already getting so many questions about wedding dates and availability. It looks like many of you have had an awesome Christmas holiday :) Congratulations to all you newly engaged couples out there!

There are several new projects out on the horizon that I’m really trying hard to complete before the end of the winter season and they are not wedding related at all. I know many of you ask “what you been up to?” and in the past I usually tell you I’m taking a well deserved break from all the weddings. Well this year I feel like I cannot simply enjoy some time off during Jan and Feb and have decided to take on a few projects for myself…photoshoots that are anything but wedding related. I absolutely love weddings but often times shooting commercial and personal work allows me to discover new things that I can ultimately bring back to my weddings. If you were to see my first wedding images you would be amazed how much my commercial work has affected the overall style of my current wedding portfolio. For all you photographers out there, you gotta simply keep pushing the envelope no matter what type of photography you plan on settling into because being well versed is the name of the game if you want to continue to produce fresh and inspiring images.

So long story short, I’m going to be traveling a bit over the next few weeks. What I am shooting I can’t reveal yet, but let’s just say the project is going to be educational in nature. I’ve really felt the need to give back to the online photo community that has taught me so much and influenced my own artistic style. So the bags are packed, and the photo gear is ready to go. I’m taking a little break from a cold and windy Charleston South Carolina to goto an even more windy Las Vegas and then to a much colder North Carolina. With a few photoshoots lined up and CES (consumer electronics show) passes for my whole traveling photography crew, it’s surely going to be a great way to kick off the new year.

Thanks again for checking in and hopefully in a few months all of this hard work will pay off and I’ll have something to show everyone. In the meantime, keep rockin and rolling and I’ll see everyone back in Charleston soon!
