Patrick Hall was born in Charleston, SC and has lived in Alaska, Alabama, and Tennessee.  After graduating from college in 2004, Patrick traveled throughout the southeast before calling Charleston home in 2006.


During the first 2 years in Charleston, Patrick spent most of his time learning how to craft interesting photos with both wedding professionals and lifestyle photographers.  It was during this time the idea to share his newly learned talents with young couples became Patrick's primary goal.

Today Patrick works full time as a commercial wedding photographer in Charleston, SC and enjoys shooting extreme sports, fashion, and commercial images during any freetime he may have left :)

If there is a perfect time to get away from the drab gray office cubicle and leave the smog and smoke of city life, your wedding day is it. on the special day when you decide to live your life with your special someone, a Charleston plantation wedding is the ideal way to return to Old World charms and high luxury living.

The Plantations

The plantations are one of the most prominent features of Charleston, South Carolina. A self-supporting unit that acts as a sort of town, the plantation is one of the primary reasons why Charleston was considered as the wealthiest part of America during the colonial period. Agriculture and the rich lands do not make for wealthy states alone, however. The green fields and the grand classic wooden mansions are also some of the best places to get married.

For an indoor wedding, choose the overseer’s mansion in Magnolia Plantation, where you can eat in luxury with up to a hundred guests. For outdoor weddings, on the other hand, try setting your venue in the Magnolia gardens, which is home to exotic flowering plants.

McLeod Plantations

The McLeod Plantation, on the other hand, is a classic example of plantation architecture. The main house is a grand, three-storey marvel made of fine woods and decked in antique period furniture. Even better, the house will give you access to the entire plantation that once accommodated nearly a hundred workers who tended cotton products in the past as well as beef production. McLeod also has a separate building created to house a kitchen alone.

Middleton Plantation

Middleton Plantation is another great location for a traditional southern wedding. The rice plantation is located near Summerville, South Carolina and is home of the oldest landscaped gardens in America. Whether you desire to host your wedding within a number of hidden gardens, under the open sun near the butterfly lakes, in the quant pavilion, or a number of other picture perfect locations on the property, Middleton Plantation always able to accomodate you and your guests with a wedding not likely to be forgotten. On site lodging is also available as is great dining through the Middleton Restaurant. Other favorites to check out are the Middleton Oak Tree, the Stableyard, and the Springhouse.

Kingston Plantation

If you want each and every convenience of twenty first century living just a few minutes from Charleston, however, try the Kingston Plantation which is now the site for the Embassy Suites Hotel. With great function halls and ready accommodation for all of your guests, and a wide variety of wedding packages for each budget, the Kingston Plantation lets you have a glimpse of the historic Charleston area while providing you access to modern health and fitness centers right in the hotel, indoor pools, and easy access to the Myrtle beach which is just a few minute’s walk away.

Finally, Lowndes Grove is the plantation of choice for a wedding right in the city. No need to for a ride, because the Grove is set right in the heart of Charleston. For your wedding, you only need to accomplish reservations and pay a small fee, before being able to enjoy your ceremony in a modern yet still classy Charleston plantation. Outside of town, there are other plantations available who can give you discounts on your wedding as well, such as the Boone Hall Plantation (boon hall) as well as the Middleton Place Plantation.
